In an attempt to steer clear of the COVID-19 centered articles as we are already overwhelmed by that information already, or at least I have felt that way in these past few weeks, I chose an article that is focused on the experience of quarantine. When ordinary life is forced to an unexpected halt how do we continue on without our routine, so after reading this article and the other articles linked onto this new page on the BBC Culture website under the featured section Culture in Quarantine it is clear that in this time of virtual connection we need to focus on the key word connection.
Please consider the following questions in your comment(s): - Where is your happy place to escape from the COVID-19 media coverage when it begins to effect you deeply (ex. Netflix, a favorite book, video games, etc)? - How has the quarantine effected your life and how have you battled any challenges you have faced with the halt to typical routines set in your schedule (working, making art, school, human connection from home? - How has the word connection changed for you when most is done via virtual connection (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc), and do you feel a disconnection to humanity through these means of communication with others when compared to in person communication/connection?
